Power

Energy is accounted as one of the most important capitals of every country in which electrical energy is extremely important because it is accounted as one of the economic growth indicators in the world. Power engineers are active in production, transmission and distribution of electricity. There are power electronic, electrical cars and power systems at postgraduate level. Regarding to the reproducible experience of photovoltaic powerhouse which are connected to the network with capacity of 20 KW and the other powerhouses for producing simultaneous heat power and CCHP with capacity of one megawatt, the major of power engineering benefits from a high potential for researching on the renewable energies and smart networks at the University of Kashan.

Graduated Students of Power Engineering are capable of production and transfer of electricity. So all the companies and organizations of power such as specialized production company, regional electric company and electricity distribution company need to hire electricity-power engineers. Meanwhile, graduated students can be employed in all private companies which are active in designing different parts of electricity powerhouses, designing renewable energy sources, designing transition lines and electric energy management. There are also some job positions in oil and gas industries, nuclear industry, defense industry, automobile manufacturing, steel and other industrial factories. So there are a lot of job opportunities for all graduated students of electrical engineering-power.

Power engineering deals with the generationtransmission and distribution of electricity as well as the design of a range of related devices. These include transformerselectric generatorselectric motors, high voltage engineering, and power electronics. In many regions of the world, governments maintain an electrical network called a power grid that connects a variety of generators together with users of their energy. Users purchase electrical energy from the grid, avoiding the costly exercise of having to generate their own. Power engineers may work on the design and maintenance of the power grid as well as the power systems that connect to it. Such systems are called on-grid power systems and may supply the grid with additional power, draw power from the grid or do both. Power engineers may also work on systems that do not connect to the grid, called off-grid power systems, which in some cases are preferable to on-grid systems. The future includes Satellite controlled power systems, with feedback in real time to prevent power surges and prevent blackouts.
